High-Quality Tankless Water Heaters for Your Home
Most water heaters in the area are traditional tank-style water heaters and vary in size. These units work by heating a tank full of water through a heat source. Gas water heaters have a burner at the bottom and heat the water in the tank like a pot on a stove, while electric water heaters use elements that heat the water typically in the middle of the heater. Both methods heat the water to a desired temperature in the tank, then shut off. Once you turn on the hot water at a faucet in the home, cold water enters the tank and forces the hot water out. As the cold water enters, the water in the tank begins to get cooler. Once the water in the tank starts to cool, the heating elements or burners come back on. The cold water cools the water in the tank faster than the heat source can heat it, and over time, the whole tank will be filled with cold water, and you will be out of hot water for the home. Once the hot water faucet is turned off, the system will again be able to heat up the water in the tank. Most common issues with these tank-style water heaters are the pilot light not staying lit, preventing the burner from kicking on and leaving you without hot water. Tanks typically tend to leak due to age and the hardness and quality of the water in our area. Classic Plumbing & Heating would be honored to repair or replace your water heater.
Why Choose a Water Heater from Classic Plumbing & Heating?
Classic Plumbing & Heating is built on a foundation of valuing our clients and installing products that exceed expectations. Our water heater installations are no different. We understand that water heater failures can be stressful. Most people don’t realize just how often they use their heaters and how much damage they can cause when they leak. We have a no-games policy with water heaters, meaning the price we give you includes everything and then some. Most water heater replacements require a permit, included. Most water heaters in the valley have not had all the appropriate upgrades, so any standard upgrades are included. Not required by code is a water heater pan, but as you may have noticed, drywall is damaged easily with water heater leaks, and most clients would agree that a pan under the heater could potentially save thousands of dollars, pan included. The connections that connect your water heater to the plumbing system can fail over time, especially when removing and reconnecting, so we’ll make your connections as good as new or replace them with new ones. Of course, water heater connections are included too.
Tankless Water Heaters
Due to skyrocketing energy costs, the area’s low water quality, and the damage caused by leaking water heaters, there is a growing demand for tankless water heaters. New homes are even starting to install these instead of traditional water heaters. Unlike a traditional heater that’s continually heating the water, tankless heaters work on demand, saving energy costs. And while traditional water heaters will run out of water, a tankless heater will run continually. They typically last much longer than a tanked water heater, and when parts do begin to fail, the repair costs are typically less than those of a standard water heater.
